Frequently Asked Questions
What does a pop-up preschool session look like?
Our pop-up preschool sessions run from 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Each of our sessions start out by introducing the theme for that session with a story. I’ve searched high and low for unique books (including snagging a hard-to-find copy of a book in a bidding war on Ebay) that I know children will enjoy!
From there, the sessions may vary. Our sessions were created to unfold like a conversation where the children are able to converse, engage, and be part of the learning. We may touch on: math, history, biology, body movement, meditation, mindset, concern for others in a way that is beneficial for all of the children. A take-home craft will be integrated into each session. Our goal is to teach the children in an authentic, holistic way where the learning happens naturally.
Our sessions are followed by an optional community picnic from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm (bring your own food) and lots of free play in the area (this will also give children the opportunity to explore the sensory bins or finish craft projects, if needed). This is a great opportunity to connect with other families in the group.
Do i have to stay for my child’s session?
Yes. The parent, or caregiver, must be present during the session help guide their child in their learning.

What happens if it’s raining?
Let’s face it, playing in the rain is a huge part of childhood. It’s fun. Our sessions are held rain or shine, but will be held at places where there is adequate shelter. Since this is North Carolina, in the event of a hurricane, tropical storm, or thunderstorm, sessions may be canceled and rescheduled for a later date. You will receive notification the morning of (at the latest) to your e-mail and by text of any cancellations.
